Senior Web Developer

JOB DEFINITION

Role and responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain corporate websites and e-commerce websites
  • Maintain and enhance websites by analyzing, designing, coding and testing computer programs to meet business and performance requirements as defined in the Functional Requirements Specifications
  • Use VSS to store and manage the code
  • Investigate, research and fix issues and defects in web pages
  • Coordinate with the Graphics Design team in order to ensure that website layout conforms to the approved specifications
  • Coordinate with the Software Engineering department in order to ensure full compatibility between the web interface and database structure

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience

The following skills are required:
  • Experience with VB.NET and ASP.NET development using Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Ability to perform detailed design requirements analysis to develop websites and bring enhancements to them
  • Expert in HTML, Javascript and CSS Style Sheets
  • Expert in SQL and database structure
  • Ability to operate effectively within a team-based organizational structure
  • Excellent skills with personal computer and standard Microsoft office products (e.g., Word, Excel, Project, Outlook)
  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal English language skills
  • B.S. in Computer Science or an Engineering discipline, or equivalent
  • Knowledge in CMS (content Management System) software

Desired Skills, Knowledge And Experience

The following skills are a plus:
  • Knowledge of MYSQL and Flash
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Server and Client technologies
  • Knowledge in .NET web service development
  • General knowledge of enterprise software applications
  • Expertise with CMMI software development methodologies
  • M.S. in Computer Science or an Engineering discipline, or equivalent
