Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

JOB DEFINITION

Role and responsibilities include:

• Develop, publish, implement, and maintain Quality Assurance test plans for the Functional Requirements Specifications  and the Software Design Specifications
• Coordinate software builds, releases and related issues with the Software Engineering and Technical Support teams
• Participate in reviewing and providing feedback on technical documentation
• Identify software defects, design omissions, and weaknesses
• Document test cases, expected results, actual results, and provide status reports on a regular basis
• Report, document, and track software issues through the Issue Tracking System
• Coordinate issue escalations with the appropriate parties
• Maintain and publish quality metrics and participate in post-project reviews and discussions for continual process improvement

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience

The following skills are required:

• Experience with Windows Operating Systems
• Experience with client/server and desktop applications
• Knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals and troubleshooting
• Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal English language skills
• B.S. in Computer Science or an Engineering discipline, or equivalent

Desired Skills, Knowledge And Experience

The following skills are a plus:

• 3+ years experience in writing test plans, and test cases
• Knowledge of Microsoft Server and Client technologies
• General knowledge of enterprise software applications
• Expertise with software testing methodologies and tools
• Technical writing and review experience
   
• Fluency in French and/or German and/or Spanish
• M.S. in Computer Science or an Engineering discipline, M.B.A., or equivalent
